“You’re off to great places! Today is your day!

Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!”

Dr Seuss

We all take inspiration from many things around us. The books that we read, the places we visit, the people we meet. At Highbury school we take our inspiration from the children and families we work with every day who all have their own mountain that they want to climb.

Welcome to our website, I hope you enjoy learning about our school and that the information available gives you a valuable insight into the life and experiences of staff and pupils at Highbury.

All of the children we teach have a unique set of needs, skills and talents. With the right knowledge, expertise and specialist approaches we carefully shape the learning experience of every child to ensure that during their time at Highbury they all reach their potential or as we like to describe it, they shine!

Highbury is an outstanding specialist school providing specialist education for children with a wide range of complex special educational needs and disabilities between the ages of 4-11. Admission to the school is based on assessment of needs and is organised in conjunction with the Local Authority SEN team.

Our website has been designed to share important information about the school and to also showcase the achievements of the children and the values and ethos that the school holds. We welcome feedback so please do take time to leave a comment on the blogs or to email us.
