Positive Behaviour Support Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Working Pattern: Full Time 8am – 4pm, (37 hours per week) term time only

Salary:  Scale 5 £12.70ph plus SEN Allowance of 527.52pa (Actual Salary £21,632)

Short Description: An opportunity has arisen to work within our Alternative Provision class with our team of talented Positive Behaviour Support Assistants. We are looking for people with a skill and passion for working with autistic children with severe learning disabilities to join our amazing school.

This is an opportunity to work within a 1:1 ratio to support and teach pupils with complex SLD and significant behavioural needs and to take a lead role in maximising all learning opportunities in a proactive and responsive way. You will work within a responsive and child-led curriculum that teaches highly personalised skills through a variety of means including; community outings, therapeutic activities, enrichment activities such as horse riding and rock climbing, 1:1 work and group activities.

You will work in a team of Positive Behaviour Support Assistants and will support pupils within a small class of 6. You will be part of the Behaviour Team and will be supported by the Behaviour Lead, Play Therapist and the Senior Leadership Team. We have an excellent team of people who can support you to develop your skills and knowledge in order to be fulfilled and successful in this important role. Equally, we offer high quality training and support for people with the right skills and attitude.
